Two former clients:
Lawyers Office
A lawyer replied to my add and needed a website, and we came up with a simple four page format with a blog as well.
1st Page, Home where the lawyer stated his credentials in corporate contract law in a brief paragraph,
2nd Page, Stated credentials, Bar Association, Firms of employement, years in practice
3rd Page, Billing and rates,
4th Page, Email address link ( I do not recomend javascript forms ) as well as the Office address phone and hours
A Published Author
A published book author replied to my add and needed a web site where the client would see his book, right away, and click the buy now link. We decided on a three page website
1st Page, Home where the client had a large displayed image of the book cover as well as searchable text and a PayPal link
2nd Page, The client could navigate to one other page and read about the authors credentials, view a small thumbnail of the book for sale and also click on the PayPal link.
3rd Page, The third page was for contacting the author with only an email link, because this was a sports author that does not display his address on his web site.
All three pages I added in a join our mailing list subscription link for Constant Contact
One client I turned down:
The gym near my gym needed a really defined flash web site totally refinished perfected with animated scripting pages. While I have plenty of professional contacts that program flash sites for a living most of them working for firms full time, but I turn these clients down.
Winning the auction & Starting the process, What to expect:
The step by step process of making a web site is copyright to Peter Sloan TXu 1-617-799
1. You will receive an email requesting the five pages of your web site to be typed, Home Page, About Us, Who We Are. ect
2. You will be emailed a complete a sheet with your first second and third choice of domain names
3. You will be requested to attach any extra images to an email document to be included on each page of your basic web site
If you need some extra images I have access to Royalty free Clip Art from Microsoft.com. Also while you are getting your documents typed and finalized you get one extra logo design as part of the order.
4. After that the web site will be posted up
5. Then we move in to the second phase of the process, communication of changing placement of the incorporated images
6. Exchange Positive Feedback, I ask of this to be after the documents are ready for the web. Don't wait with feedback for the last minute because once the final phases of the site are complete, my clients part with there own ventures and go on there own way. Once the preliminary web site is posted good feedback should be exchanged
7. A chance to make changes to the navigation scheme. My services recomend a straight column of text buttons either horizontal along the top of the page, or vertical down the left hand side of the page. Lets face it people. The earier to understand your navigation looks more professional to viewers of your site. The navigation is either horizontal or vertical
8. Making revisions to areas of text, you are allowed revisions up to two per page of the basic web site
9. Adding in your copyright info at the bottom of each page
10. Type up a sheet of 30 - 50 keywords per page and I will add them into each page of your five page website Also an initial submission to the search engine listings is included along with a one paragraph description of your choice.
11. If you would like a paypal link for purchasing items added to each page of your site, that is included in your one time fee. More ordering options are avaliable for ordering an online ECommerce web site that take a larger fee to set up the store as well as inventory. Check out my other ad running for ECommerce web site's Prices starting at $1,299 and include one year of ECommerce store web hosting fee as well as your domain name, setup of store to accept payments, as well as Custom items added to your inventory, for up to the first 20 items stocked into your online store warehouse.
So we have all of your pages of your site ordered and configured, and we are done. Don't forget to ask for my telephone class over the phone tutorial of how to click through the copyright.gov forms to submit your items for copyright. When you have an online business with your text and material out there for everyone to copy and paste, you must submit a copyright these days to protect your work.
Question? How do I qualify for an online shop, enabled to accept credit card payments?
Answer: All you need is a PayPal account in good standing and you will have what you need to begin accepting credit cards from your customers.
Also many clients need extra help with enabling there paypal accounts to accept the payments, and I can walk you through the initial steps over the phone. Trust me there is a difference from accepting payments through EBay add's other than just accepting payments through your own web site, through you account settings in paypal.
All of my web sites are included with an SSL certificate for authenticating purchases to your domain name.
There number by the way at PayPal is 866-888-6080 open 24 hour a day / 7 days a week. A second coice of a merchant account is Pro Stores which charges a fee per month for service for the web site The fee for one year of web site enabled shopping cart as well as the SSL certificate is included in the $1,299. Another recomended service including the SSL certificate is GoDaddy which costs the round about fee of $299 for one year oen having an online shopping cart
Clients with more than six pages total of there website aside from the $575 an additional fee of $75 per page will be added to each page of the site.
